We need you....volunteer with the Band!
Hundreds of parent and guardian volunteer hours make the Wheeler Bands program a success! Our directors and students put so many hours into the band, but they need parent/guardian help to succeed.
Whether you are available weekday mornings, weekday evenings, Friday nights or Saturdays, there are quick jobs (helping with food in the early evening; helping kids unload the truck around 11PM) and longer shifts (driving the band truck; chaperoning).
If your student doesn't want you in their band space, you can still be a part of the program. Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning biscuit sales are key to the program's success, and the equipment crew works in the background. Chaperones can also ride buses that their students aren't on (the most common choice!).
Volunteers are also needed during pre-LGPE Symphonic Camp at school, chaperones for LGPE performance, volunteers to help with collecting/sorting shoes, electronics recycling, and setting up/serving food/clean up during the annual Band Banquet.
